Give Thanks

We always try to talk about what we, as a family, are thankful for. I think it helps little ones focus on what they have and therefore keeping the gimmies at bay. But during the month of November that discussion happens not just around here, but everywhere. So this year we decided to sit down and really talk about what Thanksgiving means and talk about all the things in our lives that we appreciate. This is what we are doing this year to show our thanks:

All you need is some construction paper, a marker, tape and a place to display your fall leaves of thanks. Everyday we talk about our day and what we are thankful for (usually at the dinner table). We jot down some of those things on our leaves and tape them up on the window. Here are some we have so far.

I am always very proud of what they come up with. Even if it's "ice cream" ;)

What are you thankful for?
